About Claudia

Claudia Ruth Burris retired from a 40-year career as a photojournalist, writer and editor in 2014. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia J-School, Claudia worked at the Paragould Arkansas Daily Press for a year. She then moved to St. Louis where she worked at Ralston Purina, East-West Gateway Council and Webster University.

After 30 years at Webster University as a photojournalist and finally, a teacher, Claudia reignited her love of art by enrolling in ceramic classes at Webster. She has spent the last 10 years working and refining her pottery, and has recently begun painting.

When she’s not busy making art, Claudia spends time at the Soulard Art Gallery, where she exhibits her work as a resident artist. She also enjoys the outdoors, especially the Mississippi River, where she continues to pursue her photography in tranquil settings.

This website highlights Claudia’s recent artwork as well as her photography. You can also find her work at CRB Studios on Facebook and Instagram.
